Introduction | The GGG Experience| History
Girls Girls Girls has been an artistic collective since September 2003, and currently we are comprised of 9 members (including two musicians). We strive to present shows that have both entertaining story arcs and clearly recognizable musical theater elements, such as singing and dancing. As a part of our development, we are continually designing new techniques for incorporating the nuances of musicals into an improvised performance.
We have performed in many festivals such as Out of Bounds Improv Festival and Miniature Golf Tournament, Waffle Fest, and FronteraFest, where the Girls recently won "Best of the Week." Some of the theatres the Girls have performed at include Arts on Real, The Hideout, Mary Moody Northern Theatre at St. Edwards University, and Hyde Park Theatre.
In 2004, the Girls launched a new format, The Rock Opera. The Rock Opera was entirely sung and had a designated narrator and hero. In 2005, the Girls have plans to introduce a new musical improv format and to cultivate an improvised musical theater workshop that is based on our own pedagogical methods.
